Sell your property with confidence.
How do you know if it’s the right time for you to sell your property, the place where you most likely have spent many years and is filled with memories? Making a big decision is never easy, especially when you know it will affect your entire life.
It’s a big step, often taken and planned over time. It is best to have someone you can trust guiding you throughout the process, which can begin a year or more before you list your home for sale.
As your listing agent, my mission is to help you sell your property with confidence, quickly, and at the desired price. I will be with you throughout, helping you determine if any updates should be made, facilitating repairs, decluttering, staging, and more. And if needed, Sandy Peirce & Company has a vetted network of professionals eager to support you during your journey - from the beginning to closing and beyond.
When is the best time to sell?
You’re likely to hear different opinions, but there’s one time of year that most experts believe you should avoid when listing a home: wintertime. That’s because during the holiday season and, in some parts of the country, the weather, buyers are incentivized to disrupt their lives and move into a new home, which means they aren’t thinking about shopping for one, either -- at least in some markets. And fewer buyers mean less of a chance that your home will be one of the homes that sell.
So, when should you sell? Just like many experts will warn you against winter, springtime is commonly considered one of the best times of the year to sell a home. That’s because in many markets, Spring is the time of year when people are spending more time outside. Buyers are interested in making a fresh start, yards look lush and green, days are starting to get longer, and tax season gives some buyers a leap on any down payment savings. So, does that mean you should sell in the springtime? Maybe … but be aware that other sellers will have the same idea. There will be competition in the form of more homes available on the market.
